Ontario Regiment Museum
RE-opening
COVID-19 Requirements

Opening 15 August 2020

It seems like a very long time since our museum was open to the public.  However, it is time for us to begin welcoming our friends and guests back for a visit.

There will be notable changes to the museum experience due to regulations regarding COVID-19 precautions.

What You need to know

  • Tickets are available on-line and should be purchased in advance.  Each ticket is timed entry, so we can not guarantee entry if you arrive without a pre-purchased ticket.
  • A group of Guests must be from the same household or social bubble. The group should be six or less but exceptions can be made for small children or those needing assistance.  Please call to confirm your exception before you arrive.
  • Guests and Volunteers are required to wear masks (unless under two years of age) and maintain a two meter separation from those not in their social bubble/group.  If you do not have a mask, they will be available at our front desk for $2.00 each.
  • Be prepared to provide names and contact information for all those in your group.  This is mandated by the Region of Durham for contact tracing purposes.
  • Do not attend if you have any COVID symptoms or are otherwise feeling unwell.
  •  Some museum facilities and exhibits may be removed or not be available due to their nature and following COVID precautions.

These restrictions and conditions are due to regulations and best practices from both regional and provincial health authorities. They may change at any time.

If you are a seasons or family passholder, tickets are still required but are FREE.  You will have to present a valid 2020 season pass with the ticket on entry to the museum
